Aercology Electrostatic
Precipitators (EP's) collect and entrap dirty air by a process
called electrostatic precipitation.
EP's are available in
ducted, unducted, and portable units.
Electrostatic Precipitators draw contaminant-laden
air, such as smoke and fumes, through a prefilter into a
high density, ionizing field
which charges the particulate.
A collection cell attracts
and removes those charged particles from the airstream. To maximize
efficiency, a post-filter entraps particles, which might escape the
cell plates.
Contaminant-free air moves
through the blower assembly and returns to the plant through 4-way
louvers.

A
ducted Electrostatic Precipitator works to remove oily
mists and smoke from multi-spindle machines.

Housed in a 16-gauge steel
cabinet, removable panels provide easy access to all internal
components.
Maintenance is
economical—just remove, clean, and replace the collection cell.
Standard options include
inlet plenums for ducted applications, multi-pass units for heavy
smoke or fume applications such as cold heading, flute grinders or
warm forming, and inlet flanges improving capture efficiency on
unducted free hanging systems.
Two series are available:
units with or without blowers. Models with blowers are available as
unducted free hanging (ambient collection) or ducted units.
Choose a blowerless model
when the existing duct system includes a blower. CFM capabilities
range from 1300 to 5200.
